At the 2015 PGA championship, Tiger Woods mentioned that even if he missed the Fed-ex Cup playoffs his season might not be over.
He added the Wyndham to his schedule and played his first four rounds brilliantly and it was looking like he would vault himself into the "playoffs" but a cool triple bogey sunk Tigers 2015 PGA tour season. He did finish his round very strong and snuck his first top ten in a long time but not good enough.
However, we still may see tiger tee it up before he turns the big 4-0. Tiger will also play in the Bahamas in the new redition of his Hero World Challenge on dec 3 2015 but he could get some tournament reps in before then.
Adam Scott has already committed to play the Japan Open on October 10th. The purse is 200 million yen, about 1.6 million dollars which means the winner would get about 600k. Adam is almost certainly getting a appearance fee for showing up and corporate gigs will make it more than worth his while to make the long flight.
Tiger could easily triple Adam Scott's appearance and corporate money haul and play a cool course with Japan's renowned agronomy against some top notch players.
He must be itching to get back into competition after so nearly proving his naysayers wrong. I would put the chances of tiger playing in Japan at a good %40 percent but in case he is on the fence about going, just remember, Gieshas bro.
