An author named Michael Meng contacted me about his theories on how to swing a golf club and I thought I would share it with Be Better Golfers to see what you think.
MICHAEL WRITES:
Hi Be Better Golf:
I have browsed your videos searching for golf swing skills. Achieve a lot.
I have made the same efforts for many years and like to share my experience with you. In my articles and book, I just focus on the forces in body structure which create the club head speed. The good position of the impact is just a display of the forces.
The main differences of my swing method from mainstream are:
Thanks,
Michael Meng

- One article with Dr. Lynn Beasley on basic golf theory and in digital journal Desertgolfer.com: Newton’s Second Law & The Golf Swing:
- Attachment is the brief of my book --- STEM Golf Methodology
The main differences of my swing method from mainstream are:
- The club speed and accuracy of golf swing are created by the forces in the dynamic body structure (mainly centripetal force and elastic force), instead of positions in slow motion or kinematic sequence;
- Feel the forces in body structure during golf swing to create the club speed, do not consider the positions of arms, legs and wrists in mind;
- Controlling the forces for club head speed and keeping dynamic body structure in balance for accuracy according to principles of physics, technology and engineering, instead of the tips without the scientific support.
Thanks,
Michael Meng
SO from the first 2 minutes looking at it I whink he is advocating
A BIG WIDE relaxed backswing
then on the downswing
body turn and leg drive where the hands have a feeling that they are being "pulled in" around the circle with no hit impulse or thought to swing to target?
What do you guys think?
