Since the start of my Youtube Channel Be Better Golf, the primary focus has been interviewing interesting instructors about how to BE BETTER AT GOLF. Mostly it has been an information collection channel and it's been great.
Now is the time to see what I've learnt and TIME THE FOR ACTION. The timing of some things have really started to come together in 2021 and I can tell it's time.
So I'm going to see how good I can get in 100 days of intense golf training.
An old friend of mine and former Pro Golfer Doo Kang, opened up the GOLF PERFORMANCE LAB that I will have almost unlimited access to.
GOLF PERFORMANCE LAB HAS
4 indoor hitting bays
3 foresight GC quads
Swing Catalyst High Speed Camera set ups, both face on and down the line (240 frames a second)
K-Vest system (wearable device to help learn to sync body segments)
Blast Motion Putting
Also I have found a way to play more golf.
And adjusted my schedule.
So my schedule should be training 6 days a week
6-9 hours a week training at Golf Performance Lab
18-36 holes a week
Workout twice a week
Traditional Golf Lesson with Paul Young, PGA 1x a week.
Range about 3x a week
The part I need to take care of before I start the 100 days is to make a plan of what I need to work on and what I want to accomplish. to BE BETTER is the OBVIOUS goal but if the process is too wide in scope than I'll end up being too scatted in you training and not making the gains I want. I need to be laser focused.
I think my focus is going to be to develop a consistent TOUR IMPACT with my swing. I am doing it at slower speeds (about 8- percent) now on about 60 percent of my swings.
Tour impact (Tour impact defined as a impact with lag tension, high smash factor, that has low spin loft)
So now I am getting
NOW
TOUR IMPACT at 80 percent speed on about 60 percent of attempts
by the end of the 100 days I would like to be able to
AFTER (GOAL)
TOUR Impact at 95% + speed and on 75-80%+ attempts.
Another update soon. Stay tuned and email me if you have any ideas. [email protected]
