Jason Day is in the middle of a unbelievable hot streak. He'll shoot 10 under or better in the first round of the BMW today (after rain stops) and after having won a Major and a playoff event already in the past month, he is really at nuclear level for hotness. It is not just winning but winning by margins we haven't seen guys win by for many years.
He relegated Spieth's Hole in One today to footnote status.
I am not a huge fan of the tempo of Jason's routine, he pays very slow and then freezes over the ball a long time and then swings all out balls to the wall on nearly every shot. I thought this routine was going to preclude him winning a major but he has found a way to make it work and not it seems like nothing can stop Jason Day from steamrolling the fed-ex cup and probably at least 1 more major next year. Plus, he has a great record at augusta!
